[ ajax does well to hide his intentions skillfully, for zhongli is an incredibly perceptive man, his golden eyes tend to see through even the thickest of veils. it's in his nature to watch people, and his long years have taught him a great deal about the nature of people, how to read body language and between the lines of what they say. he's attentive.
but ajax seems like any other curious student, even if asking him to drinks had been a little.. forward. zhongli only chalks it up to enthusiasm. for now, at least. pushing off of his desk, he gathers his overcoat from where he had left it flung over the back of his chair, and drapes it over one arm. ]
